Cinderella - mixed signals?

Cinderella was little more than a slave, robbed of her rightful inheritence. She was a good, kind, pure person who accepted her lot with good grace. OK, it would have been better if she didnt need a Prince and a Fairy Godmother to "rescue" her, but the moral of the story is that Cinderella came out on top, because she was a good person.
