Is ps3 blu ray better then $249 blu ray player?

i was wonder (i know ps3 has alot more stuff to it) just by comparing the ps3's blu ray system to a $199 or $249 standerd blu ray player, i guess it could be sony or another bran it doesnt matter, wich one would put out the best HD posible?
