Spitting out gooey stuff? Answer please..?

Whenever I eat certain candy like Skittles, Nerds, Gummy/Fruity candy gooey stuff comes up from my throat and I spit it out (I can't swallow it) Please tell me what is wrong? I have been like this for about 4 years.
