Flying within the United Kingdom..?

I need help! I am planning a trip to the UK in the fall and I plan on making a few stops on the trip. I was wondering if anyone knows of the best or cheapest airline to use for UK to UK flights and if anyone know if Plymouth has an airport if not what the closest airpot to Plymouth would be so we dont have to bus too far to Plymouth.
