What are the best hearing aids for severe-profound hearing loss?

Don't worry about FM now since hearing aids last approximately 3-5 years... hearing aid will probably be replaced before school time. It will be a Behind the ear and an earmold - earmold that will stay in baby's ear because it is custom made shouldn't fall out... they also make ear gear that clips and "huggies" that can hold it onto baby's ear. Battery door will be childproof. Make sure you go to a pediatric audiologist and they will answer all these questions for you and choose the most appropriate type of amplification. Oticon and Phonak make good kid aids but audiologist has to pick the appropriate receiver based on baby's hearing loss.
